What is Expert Check?
This is a thorough inspection carried out according to factory guidelines, which provides the dealer with a complete inspection list with over 100 points for each machine. The equipment is taken care of by experienced specialists who not only check all its elements, but also interview the operator to find out his opinion on the operation of the machine during the season and select individual solutions.
Many farmers decide to carry out the inspection themselves. It’s definitely better than nothing, but its results can be misleading. The main criterion of “home inspections” is to assess whether something works. And taking into account the technological advancement of systems, especially hydraulic or electronic ones, many faults are simply not physically visible to the naked eye. Even if key parts of the machine are working, we may be surprised by the failure of a small element considered insignificant. Specialized diagnostic tools with the support of the dealer’s expertise will help you avoid trouble. And any such oversight can lead to a serious failure over time.
What’s more, by choosing Expert Check, we are not left alone with major technical problems. The authorized John Deere dealer service department is in constant contact with the factories and is able to consult on an ongoing basis in difficult and non-obvious failures. Which machines are covered by Expert Check?
All John Deere machines can count on the Expert Check: combines, forage harvesters, tractors, sprayers, balers, and even lawn care machines. For example, in the case of tractors, the inspection list assumes, among others, cylinder test, DEF pump check, meticulous check of all systems (including hydraulic and powertrain). As part of the Expert Check, the John Deere team not only watches over the machine’s efficiency, but also ensures that it has the highest possible performance. In addition, it is worth noting that even older machines can be upgraded to connect them to JD Link by retrofitting with the latest MTG 4G module. Thanks to this, already in the tractors of the 30 series, we can use the vast majority of the benefits of combining the machine.

After several hours of inspection, the farmer receives comprehensive information on the condition of each tested item. – After the review, the dealer’s service department presents the customer with the results and proposes variants both regarding the purchase of parts and the repair schedule.
The John Deere offer for repairs currently includes three ranges of parts: John Deere Original, John Deere Reman (within this offer they are about 20% cheaper than the original and covered by the warranty) and Alternatives by John Deere (so-called “replacement” certified by John Deere, prepared for older machines, which often do not work so intensively).
